The Cosford Gathering - 2014 2/3

As a follow up to yesterday those of us who have been to earlier get-togethers also got the opportunity to welcome some new friends from our homeland Shutterchance contingent, among them Tom Wilson, Martin Robbins and Frank Croston who came last year but Maureen and I didn't on that occasion.  As with the new overseas visitors they didn’t take long to get in a chatty mode with among others Michael Shaw, Chad, myself and Martin Robinson’s wife Elaine.

Great set of photo's of the happy occasion. Great to meet the people behind the scenes smile
I am glad that you and Maureen could make it. I hope you made it home safe?
Brian Walbey: We got home o.k.as did you two at the weekend although the awful weather on the Monday messed up our plans, ie.Ironbridge and Blist's Hill Museum. Instead we found a nice little village pub on the way home recommended by no lesser person than Philine and enjoyed a pleasant lunch in front of a log fire.

Another good selection.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike.
Good to see you again Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Michael, it was you also.
seems like a happy group
Brian Walbey: Indeed a very happy group Chantal, if there is another meet in a year or two's time perhaps you and your husband might be able to make it over here, everybody would be pleased to meet you, that goes without saying really.

It looks as though you had a great day together
Brian Walbey: We did Sarah. Maureen and I had met quite a few folks on two previous occasions but there were quite a few this time who were new to us.

You can't beat meeting in the flesh Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed you can't Chad, we hope there will be another meet in the not too far distant future.
I love your presentation. I guess Elaine doesn't mix up the two Martins like I do.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary. If Elaine did mix the Martins up her own Martin might not be too pleased, the other Martin is a lot younger model smile

The men look very attractive, not only the young man but also the oldest one (blessed with still a plethora of hairs like Samson)! Yes, it is nice to see them getting in a "chatty mode" (I like this English phrase). Yourself look also very likeable and fit on this and Ginnie's collage!
Brian Walbey: I haven't seen Ginnie's collage yet but I guess we are a reasonable looking bunch of 'elderly' men, apart from young Martin of course, he wowed the ladies I think.
lovely Brian! great times eh
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ronke, yes a good day with a lot of lovely people, perhaps you might be able to make a future occasion if there is one, everybody would be so pleased to see you.
Another fine collection Brian! Nice to put faces on names.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, how nice of your face could be added to the names on some future occasion.
I'm thrilled by your presentations, Brian, and much prefer them to mine. What a happy day!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much for such kind praise Ginnie, it was a great day, and not the last we hope.

I have to say that Tom dies look like typical professor smile You expect to him in a lab with test tubes every where dreaming up some great wonderful elixir of life smile He and Chad look very pensive in the shot bottom right... had they had a lover's tiff? wink I like your sort of "selfie" (Is it a selfie if it includes someone else? No idea butI always thought selfies were for the kiddies in any case. ) Sorry to hear that your plans for the Monday did not work out.
Brian Walbey: The 'selfie' was courtesy of Maureen, and I think with Tom being there I was actually the second oldest at the meet.
Great stuff Brian. I will have to make it next time
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, I'm sure everybody would really be pleased to meet you.
Great candids, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.
Good snaps of the snappers Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks John.

Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter.
Another great collection, full of memories!!! What a wonderful gathering it was!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth. Frank, Martin and Tom were all new acquaintances to me, I managed a chat with them all, and had quite a long chat with Frank, nice chap isn't he smile
