Kingston Lacy House - The Grounds 6/7

I’m not quite sure what this centrepiece in one of the flower beds at Kingston Lacy is meant to portray but it stands out quite nicely against the hedge in the background. Apologies for not replying or commenting yesterday, although I did look at all your images. We had one of those days where we were coming and going right through to mid-evening so hopefully I will catch up today.

I think it's a sundial. It looks good with the colourful plans.

Plants.. Not plans!
I agree with Chris, a sun dial of sorts. Do you think the arrow is pointing north?
Brian Walbey: I don't know Pauline, I could work it out on Google Earth I suppose.
I love those yellow roses so much!
Brian Walbey: yes they are nice against those mauve flowers.
Such a gorgeous colour combination, Brian. The centerpiece fits the location beautifully.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Beverly, thanks very much.
There is one a bit like that at Coughton Court as i recall. I assume it is a sundial of some sort.
Brian Walbey: I think it probably is.
A wonderful and colourful bed Brian!
Brian Walbey: Yes I thought the same when we walked past it.
Really lovely, Brian - don't know what it is, but it is in a great spot!
