Baddesley Clinton 1/7

THE FRONT & NORTH-EAST SIDE

A short drive to the North of Warwick brings one to the moated manor house of Baddesley Clinton, a country home now owned by the National Trust. Rather than post an endless stream of photographs on a daily basis I have summed my visit up with a short series of collages. This first collage shows the Front of the house and views of the North Eastern side.

A nice group of pictures, Brian - this series looks as if it will lend itself to collage
Brian Walbey: Sometimes I think my series from such places go on a bit too long hence I'm summing this place up in one week, plus I enjoy doing collages.

Another place to put on my list of places to visit
Brian Walbey: Definitely worth a visit Chris, indeed your good friend from Droitwich tells me he has been here several times, I trust that is as good a recommendation as any.

Collages are good for the many faces of just about anything, Brian. Well done.
Brian Walbey: Indeed they are Ginnie, you must spend a lot of time on the ones you post on In Soul, I especially enjoyed the ones when Philine took you and Astrid round all those wonderful churches, indeed I was quite jealous.

Built when an Englishman's home really was his castle. Fine series.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Mike, sadly some of the poor people in Somerset got moats they didn't bargain for didn't they.
Nice set Brian. I have been here several times.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, a friend in my camera club recommended this place and we weren't disappointed.
I would like a moat just for the ducks it would draw. Well done, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, that's as good a reason as any for a moat these days.
like a post card, love it
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chantal.

Cracking photos all of them
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Adrian.
Excellent set of images of this moated manor house, Brian. There seems to be steps leading down to the water in the top right hand picture. Is there usually a boat anchored there?
Brian Walbey: Thanks Beverly. I didn't see any sign of a boat although I guess they would use one to clean any debris from the moat. Also if they had one moored up some clown of a visitor might take it upon themselves to try the boat out, you know what some people are like.
Four fine scenes, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Graeme.
what a wonderful piece of collage here Brian! The structures here are priceless!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ronke. A friend in my camera club recommended this place and we weren't disappointed.
This is a delightful place Brian! Fine collage.
Brian Walbey: Yes this place was well worth the visit Richard.
A fine house by the looks of it.
Brian Walbey: Yes it is Tom. A friend in my camera club recommended this place and we weren't disappointed.

Wonderful collage. I always love those chimneys. In my eyes, pieces of art.
Love the sun/shadow on the building.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, there is another collection of chimneys from the other side of the house on Tuesdays collage.

It looks a delightful place. I've no idea how I've missed visiting this as I'm often looking for a somewhere for a shop hen I'm heading up that way. It's wonderful architecture.
Brian Walbey: A friend in my camera club recommended this place and we weren't disappointed. It is not too far from Warwick and Stratford.
