Ashby Show - Miscellaneous 4/7

Taken at the annual Ashby Show, near Ashby-de-la-Zouch in July. In the Women’s Institute tent there were all sorts of displays of crafts and so on, and they had a competition, open to the various local branches, to produce a diorama based on the name of a show or film. This one caught my eye as somebody had great talent to paint this background for Alice in Wonderland.

This is fantastic! This one should win - I don't care what the others looked like!
Brian Walbey: I seem to remember this aqmong the winning entries, but not the overall winner, and this isn't the whole thing, just a part of it.
Lots of work gone into this....cracking
Brian Walbey: Indeed it has Shane, I guess, although slightly different than your graffiti style you would appreciate the work that has gone in to this.

My first thought was Alice's Tea party! A fine painting watering my mouth!
Brian Walbey: Yes that's what it is, isn't it a very good painting.
This is totally delightful.
Brian Walbey: Isn't it just.

This is quite perfect. I love the Cheshire cat.
Brian Walbey: Isn't it a very good painting.
Love this Brian!
Brian Walbey: Yes a person with quite a lot of painting skill must have done this.
This is absolutely delightful, Brian. Very amusing that the artist shows Alice drinking her tea with pinkie finger extended.
Brian Walbey: Well Alice came from a very genteel family I believe, hence the raised pinky smile

What a delightful display Brian! Well spotted.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, somebody was very talented to paint this.
I hope it won!
Brian Walbey: It didn't but I seem to remember it was among the leading entries.
That is rather nice.

Very impressive! Is it all a painting or just the bit behind the table? I love the cat smile
Brian Walbey: This is all of the painting behind the table being used as a backdrop. There is a flower display but I didn't want to include that.
