To finish this week of a mixed bag of subjects the fine brass dome from the locomotive, 4965 Rood Ashton Hall, that hauled us on the excursion train from Stratford-Upon-Avon to Birmingham and back, and which I featured in more detail last week.

Kept shiny & gleaming in the finest GW tradition
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chris, the use of brass was the finishing touch to the GWR engines.
The brass is what makes the Great Western special
