A Change Of Heart 7/7

FELLED - LIANE LANG

Taken in the Leicester Botanic Gardens during their annual exhibition of modern sculpture. The disconnected legs are the sculpture not the tub of flowers just in case you get a bit confused :)

I like your comp - keeping the legs, clearly the primary focus of interest, nearly out of frame!
Brian Walbey: I wanted something to set off against the legs, most people seem to like the tub of flowers the best of the two items.

A nice colourful image Brian, I think I can cope with the legs
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, I suppose the legs are unusual.
The grant money for the statue ran out
Brian Walbey: You could well be right Bill.

Yes, I thought the tub of flowers were the artwork - the legs are cruel and crude! They let think me of the Great War that is remembered here now again - and all the other horrible wars ...
Brian Walbey: I wonder if that is what the legs are supposed to be portraying Philine, they certainly seem to be of early 20th.century military uniform.
A glance on summertime smile
Brian Walbey: Indeed, let's hope it soon gets round to the next one.

The legs do nothing for me but the flowers are nice.
Brian Walbey: One reason for me including the tub Mary.

Of the two, Brian, I prefer the tub'o'colour.
Brian Walbey: So do I Ray, but the legs are unusual, and a bit more obvious than some of the other strange sculptures.
The tub is much better looking in my opinion Brian!
Brian Walbey: And mine Richard, but the legs are unusual, and a bit more obvious than some of the other strange sculptures.

I'd rather have the tub of flowers, I think. I assume the half a body was due to a reduction in funding grants smile
Brian Walbey: Your guess is as good as mine Alan, I like the tub, but I'm not really in to much of this modern art, of whatever medium.
a nice treat. love the colours nicely shown off in the sunlight
Brian Walbey: Thansk very much Ayush.
