I get the impression you are not exactly impressed with what you are seeing, Brian?
Brian Walbey: I'm afraid very few of these "sculptures" done much for me Ray, apart perhaps from the two I'm showing over the weekend.
I don't get the title, but it's a nice photo - I love marble!
Brian Walbey: Yes nice marble but Ecstasy, I must have been going wrong somehow over the years!
this is how three surfboards would look after their riders were knocked off by a mighty wave. well, if you disregard them penetrating each other.
Brian Walbey: That about sums up this one quite nicely Ayush.
I like this one Brian... the sculpture is a person who has changed their mind... it has beautiful lines and the marble is superb....petersmile
Brian Walbey: I quite like the marble and the shapes but my ageing brain has a job likening this to Ecstasy.

A heart of stone, Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed Lisl, not much Ecstasy in that.

Interesting how some people see ecstasy isn't it Brian..
Brian Walbey: Certainly not the kind I remember Chris.
I like this kind of art work

Modern sculpture is not totally my cup of tea, Brian, but I can appreciate it when I see it.

But could you please explain your title? A change of heart from what you normally post?
Brian Walbey: Modern sculpture is almost certainly not my thing although the two pieces I'm showing over the weekend I quite like. Yes very different to my usual subject matter. They have an annual exhibition of modern sculpture in the Botanic Gardens in Leicester, the exhibition theme/title was "A Change of Heart", somehow all of those in this series represent that I presume, although this can only be stone cold Ecstasy as far as I can see it.

That is some nice marble. I like the bottom part where the look is that one piece has gone through the other.
Brian Walbey: I quite like the shapes but my ageing brain has a job likening this to Ecstasy.
I like the smoothness of the marble and the overall shape; again, as I commented before, in this outdoor setting I like the balance smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Martin.

Ummm... yes.. I can see what the artist was representing (..actually, I lie; I've no idea smile )
Brian Walbey: Certainly doesn't look like ant sort of Ecstasy I've experienced in my life Alan, and no I don't mean the psychedelic sort !!
what a bright character!
Brian Walbey: Sort of anyway Aderonka.

A smart piece of sculpture here Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chad, I just wonder what is ecstatic about it!

I think the process of making art is sometimes better than the end result.
Brian Walbey: I think that can be said of many of today's modern sculptors and painters Richard.
I find it quite elegant Brian! Fine capture.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Richard, I just wonder what is ecstatic about it!
He looks like he's wiping a tear from his eye, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed looking at in one way that is the impression, well done Beverly, your about the only person who has come up with any sort of interpretation.
I don't get the ecstasy link either, but it links together quite nicely
Brian Walbey: I don't dislike the shape but I don't quite get it either Janet, and we are not alone in that feeling.
More like leave me alone I have a headache
Brian Walbey: Now where have I heard that before smile
