Lake District Leftovers #4

One that didn’t make it in the series earlier this year. This is especially for Chad, whom I immediately thought of when I came upon these fine examples of Cumbrian gutter and down pipeage.

Haha - in Gutteridgeland! In England (and Belgium) you can find the craziest gutteridge- sometimes a forest of pipes running down and criss-cross along a wall. It is really funny!
Brian Walbey: Yes everywhere one goes there is always a fine selection of gutteridge isn't there. The pink wall on the left is at the back of the Wordsworth House in Cockermouth.
The one on the right is of the highest order Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, but also somewhat scruffy.

Fine shots for his collection, Brian, especially the one on the right!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan. The right hand wall is a bit scruffy though.

This is so kind of you Brian. Lovely hotch potch gutteridge, an afterthought.
Brian Walbey: Glad to know you have enjoyed this Chad, I thought of you as soon as I saw these two walls.
The one on the left looks very popular with the greenery.
Brian Walbey: Yes that greenery stands out nicely against the pink wall doesn't it.
wonderful stuff
Brian Walbey: Thanks Previ.
A very nice present you are offering to Chad Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, he seems to quite like it.

And why not, Brian?
Brian Walbey: I am given to understand that Chad is the countries leading expert on gutter and down pipeage Lisl, these ones might be very rare species he should be aware of smile
Clearly the product of a master craftsman!
Brian Walbey: Indeed Tom, perhaps made by Chad's own hand.
I'm sure that Chad was quite pleased that you saved these shots for him Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: He seems to be Peter.
