Lovely, whimsical montage here, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, some thing a bit different from a steam railway for a change.
Nice collage Brian... i think that the fellow asleep on the bench may have missed it train....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter. I think he was waiting for the driver of the diesel unit to finish his lunch before boarding that particular train.
I love the top image! You seem to have caught their character!
Brian Walbey: Yes they did seem to be enjoying themselves, but then most drivers would being able to work on that particular engine.

Lovely images Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris.
very nice collage, a little back in time feel to it
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chantal. That is the joy of this railway, which is only a few kilometres from my home.

I have to own up that my favorite piece of nostalgia is the green WH Smiths booth. Reassuringly familiar.
Brian Walbey: yes they have really done well restoring the W.H.Smith's booth.

A bit of a Mecca this place eh Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chad, I think you went to this station when Mr.trim brought you to Loughborough the other year.
Three great shots that could very well stand on their own, Brian. It is obvious that the chaps in the top image are enjoying the work they do. The decorative "way out" sign we see in the lower right hand shot is charming; certainly a cut above the usual exit signs we have here.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Beverly, I felt this was a bit different than my normal shots from this railway. The sign is one of many station signs that are still in use at Loughborough, and indeed so much more attractive than modern sineage.
The top image is a winner Brian! Very nice collage.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard. I put the top one in a competition at my club called "In Uniform" but although the judge liked it he rightly said they hadn't really got uniforms on, so it didn't win. I couldn't disagree with him.
Such relaxing photos, Brian. There wasn't the hurry with the old trains that there seems to be today.
Brian Walbey: Yes I thought it time to show something different from our local steam railway for a change.
I love this Brian. Captures the spirit of the place beautifully
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, something different for a change.
