A Look At Lakeland (The Final Week)

BELOW SKIDDAW

Following our drive up to the lower slopes of Latrigg, which I featured a few weeks ago, we just had to stop and look out at this fine view over towards Keswick and the host of mountains and fells beyond, and yes, that is our little Honda bottom left which proves to us, at least, that we did actually go there.  For those of you who don't look in at the weekend then this will be the last of my images you will see from the Lake District, many thanks for staying with it over all these weeks, but you are welcome to scroll down and look at the second of my sequences from the area before you move on.

Lovely set of undulations out the back, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Don't they look terrific Ray, nice lighting at that time.
I love this view - seeing so many of the fells in the distance! Lovely Brian!
Brian Walbey: Yes it was well worth stopping for some photos at this point.
You saved the best image of them all until the last Brian... i have thoroughly enjoyed your series of Lakeland....petersmile

But you could have posted your car beneath this image grin
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter, very kind of you to say so.

Oh, this is the most beautiful photo- what a view - so many ranges of mountains or hills I never saw when I was in the Lakes- but I saw the Skiddaw, the highest mountain? Later I'll look at your video. The whole series was a pleasure for me!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, I'm really glad people haven't got fed up with 11 weeks of the same subject.

Now THAT is a pastoral scene if I ever saw one, Brian. And if it's not a church, please make it stable like this! How idyllic.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, I just had to stop to take this scene.
I like the picture in picture effect
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chantal.

This has been a wonderful series
Brian Walbey: Thanks Aussie, I was a bit concerned that people would get fed up with 11 weeks of it.
A glorious landscape Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin.
The hills look wonderful in this light.
Brian Walbey: Yes the light was really good, not too bright.

This is one of the best in the series Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill.
Wow, Brian, you saved the best for last. Look at those beautiful, rolling hill tops. Thank you for a lovely look at Lakeland over the past few weeks. I expect it bought back happy memories for you and Maureen too.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Pauline. I now want to try and put a photobook together of some of these pictures, a guy at my camera club showed us how to do it last week.
Beautiful scene with those mountains in the background Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, I just couldn't avoid stopping to take the picture.
I've enjoyed you tour, Brian. Great memories of our walking holidays. This has got to be the cream of a fine crop, so typical of the area.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Graeme.

What a cracking panorama and a stunning location for the farm.
Brian Walbey: Yes this fine view was just off the road as we drove back to Keswick from the car park on Latrigg.
