A Look At Lakeland (1 of quite a few)

MIREHOUSE 6/7

We really enjoyed our walk across the parkland and fields down to the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake during our visit to the Mirehouse estate, we were joined at times by a herd of young cattle and numerous sheep, surely a fine "Sheep Saturday" photo opportunity for Alan Rolfe, and his trademark "Another Sunday, Another Church" series should he ever venture there. And down by the lake is the little church of St.Bega, of which more tomorrow.

This would make a wonderful calendar picture Brian and be a worthy inclusion in a photo presentation with music
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, the audio visual I was working on is now finished, I will feature it here sometime before my Lakeland series runs out.

Oh, this photo could make my day - my Lakes as I recall with some longing ... Who is St. Bega, a saint I never heard of, and I know a lot of saints! Some music from Beethoven's Pastorale?
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine. I've not heard of St.Bega either. I have now finished my latest audio/visual featuring the six churches I visited in the Lakes, I will put a link to it before I close this lengthy Lake District series, I think you might enjoy it.
A lovely picture Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill.

I love this scene very much.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, it doesn't come much better than this for me, with a delightful little church at the centre of it.
What a delightful scene Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, we really enjoyed our visit to Mirehouse.

What a stunning setting and what a cracking composition. Philine's choice of music is perfect for this.
Brian Walbey: You would, I think, enjoy walking out to this church Alan.
This is a really beautiful composition, Brian! I love it!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.

Love the luminous grass, Brian.
Brian Walbey: The sun came out after a heavy shower, and it really caught the wet grass very well.
