A Look At Lakeland (1 of quite a few)

ON LATRIGG 6/7

Some of you might remember the photo I posted on 29th.May, our wedding anniversary, of Maureen and me sitting on the bench here. We might not have walked to the top of Latrigg, low that it is, we both sadly have health issues these days, but we really did enjoy a long sit in the sun underneath that lovely tree with the mountains as our backdrop to enjoy our last afternoon in the Lakes.

Nothing wrong with that, Brian. What a fabulous spot to sit and enjoy the vista, though.

How's Maureen doing? Is she able look after Master yet? wink
Brian Walbey: It was a nice place to sit Alan, I guess you will have walked past here at some time. Maureen is doing well and getting a bit stronger in her leg/hip as each day goes by.

Wonderful - the clouds' shadows on the hills - the lonely tree - oh, if I were there now! I miss only the sheep! Oh, I see a little bench there - let's sit dow for a moment!

(another tip for Maureen: a hot towel/roll or a fango wrap for the back is wonderful and helpful)
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, I have passed on your advice to Maureen.

A convenient seat by the tree
Brian Walbey: A nice place to sit Chris.
A lone tree guiding you to the hills
Brian Walbey: Yes and I like lone tree and lone seat images, two for the price of one here.

Looks like a perfect spot to sit down for a while. The tree is insisting on providing shelter.
Brian Walbey: It was a nice spot Mary, you wouldn't guess it was at the edge of the mountain car park.

A classic high fell Cumbrian tree.
Brian Walbey: The words "high fell" make me feel good Richard, this was the only place we attempted much in the way of walking up a mountain.
A fine pace to sit and a much loved Walbey theme of a solitary tree
Brian Walbey: Not only solitary tree Bill but a lone seat as well, I was spoilt up there.
Wonderful lonesome tree with its shadow on the mountain...
Brian Walbey: And a lonesome seat as well Richard, two for one as they say.
What a beautiful place to sit and enjoy that view! A fine shot Brian smile
Brian Walbey: Yes it was a lovely spot Martin.

Much to be said for the beauty of lone trees, Brian...its well worth the effort to get to one like this.
Brian Walbey: Lone tree and lone seat, two of the best Ray.

A beautiful place to sit, i like the composition Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much, we enjoyed out time sitting there.
A classic Lakes scene, Brian. The series is continuing beautifully.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Graeme, we enjoyed visiting this little spot.
