A Look At Lakeland (1 of quite a few)

EVENING STROLL BY DERWENTWATER 4/7

On the other side of the small headland along the shore of Derwentwater, Keswick, that I showed yesterday the lake opens out to more impressive views and these boulders on the shore made what I felt was a good foreground for the picture.

Fabulous, Brian.

The boulders are a wonderful foreground interest.
Brian Walbey: There were so many boulders it was difficult to choose which ones to use for the composition.
i really like the large boulders that you used to frame this wonderful image Brian... they look like bowling balls for the gods....petersmile

This is a fine calendar style shot Brian, the island out there mirrors the boulders perfectly. I'd enter this for a competition if it was mine
Brian Walbey: I hadn't noticed that about the island Chris. I am showing this at the club next week as part of an audio visual of the walk which you will also be able to watch tomorrow.

You are a master at composition, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Well I must admit to being pleased with this one Mary.
Wow, this is an amazing shot, Brian. Almost appears to be 3D. Well done!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Beverly. I think the effect is the way the light is hitting the top edges of the stones.

I like the way the light plays on the rocks. Another beautiful picture.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Suzanne.

As nice as can be for my viewing. I'm in love with rocks of all sizes.
Brian Walbey: I couldn't believe my luck when I came across those rocks.
