If all goes to plan Maureen will be having the first of her Hip Replacement operations today and coming home on Thursday. You will realise, of course, that for a few weeks I will be very busy looking after her, and all the other things that she normally looks after, as well as my own stuff, until she is fully mobile again. I have posted images for quite a few weeks to come and will endeavour to at least look at all your images and comments every day, but please bear with me if I am unable to find the time to comment quite as much as I normally do or reply to all your comments to me. Hopefully things will soon be back to normal, and that of course includes Maureen.
WORDSWORTH HOUSE 1/5
Wordsworth House is a Georgian townhouse situated in Cockermouth, a small town just to the North-West of the Lake District, and is in the ownership of the National Trust. It was built in the mid-18th century. William Wordsworth was born in the house in 1770 which is a Grade I listed building. In November 2009, Cumbria was hit by flooding. Wordsworth House was one of many historic houses in the region to be affected by the floods, but was relatively lucky in that National Trust volunteers were able to move many of the historical artifacts to the dry floors of the house.
