A Look At Lakeland (1 of quite a few)

ASHNESS 5/7

Taken a little above Ashness Bridge of Barrow Beck as it runs downhill on its journey to Derwentwater below. Again a bit of Ashness Fell can be seen in the background.  We are having a weekend at Charlecote, they have wi-fi, but I will probably catch up on Monday, and guess when the weather is due to break, yes you've got it!!  Whatever the weather on Sunday we are travelling in this train from Stratford to Birmingham and back.

I am betting this brook babbles, Brian?
Brian Walbey: It might well do Ray, but I bet it flows heavily in the winter.

Stunning landscape indeed, love the rocky stream, I almost can hear the water.
Brian Walbey: Ray said something similar about the water.
So beautiful, Brian! You've captured this so well - it looks like your lighting was a bit iffy... enjoy your weekend!
Brian Walbey: Yes the light was ever changing, and it rained about half an hour later.

Heaven doesn't get much better than this, Brian, I'm sure! Have fun on your Shakespeare Express on Sunday. Looks like you're getting in just under the wire!
Brian Walbey: Lovely spot isn't it. Our train ride was excellent, it ran at up to 75mph.in places and sounded and smelt just like the old days.
I like this image and the way that you framed the landscape with the rounded stones in the river bed Brian... have a good weekend....petersmile

Very nice Brian: enjoy the train ride!
Brian Walbey: We had Rood Ashton Hall, 4965, and she ran up to 75mph.at one time, she sounded, and smelt, just like the old days.
Lovely gentle summer shot. Enjoy your weekend and I hope the weather holds, especially for your Sunday train.
delightful now, no doubt a raging torrent in winter.
wish I could sit there, with my book and relax

This is nothing like the shop Lakeland Brian.
Brian Walbey: Talking of which we went into a Lakeland shop on the way home from Charlecote toady, not mans stuff in them at all!
A beautiful shot Brian! Hope you enjoy the Shakespeare Express smile

Love the hill in the background and really love the spring green.
Lovely perspective Brian.
Enjoy your trip in this fabulous train!
The forecast for tomorrow isn't too bad Brian. It is our book sale day!! Awful here today. Sunday doesn't look to bad either.
Brian Walbey: Both Saturday and Sunday turned out reasonably well, but wet on today so we made our way home, stopping off at a very large garden centre just our side of Hinckley, quite a nice day though.
I feel like reciting a poem to nature when I look at this, Brian. Sounds like you are in for a great train ride; enjoy!
Another delightful view Brian
