Fine shots, Brian.

Looks like that diesel might be due for a service.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray. I think the technical expression would be to the effect that the diesel is chucking out a load of s***!
Very nice - even I can tell the difference - I'm learning!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth. I'm wondering whether Frank has Googled the existence of railways, modern and heritage, round your way, only as a very secondary interest of course smile

Combien de petits garçons
ont joué au chef de gare smile
Maintenant on réhabilite certains
vieux petits trains...pour les touristes...

Bonne journée Brian
amicalement, Emma
Brian Walbey: Thanks Emma, it is a fine game for older fellas like me smile

I'm glad BR didn't adopt that brown livery for its diesels. The Coal Tank looks very charming doesn't it..
Brian Walbey: I gather it was some sort of experimental livery which I personally don't like very much. Yes the Coal Tank is a lovely little engine.
Two superb shots Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.

the 25th May, 2013 was a fine day for every railway fan - with opportunities for fabulous photos!
Brian Walbey: Indeed it was Philine, and to the right is a country park that we had a pleasant walk in as well.

(Cough, cough). I much prefer the charm of the steam loco. I can cope with loco smoke but not so tolerant of diesel fumes smile Oh, Mr Beeching ...
Brian Walbey: Ys I prefer the steam obviously Alan, this particular diesel really chucks some muck out doesn't it.

Great captures! Viewing the smoke makes one feel the motion.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much. I like the smoke from the steam engine but not the exhaust from the diesel so much.
A David and Goliath pairing here, methinks.
Brian Walbey: Certainly looks as though the leading diesel is doing all the work.
A fine pair of railway pictures Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Bill.
I love the old steam trains but have always thought the use of diesel trains a noisy dirty stop-gap measure.
Brian Walbey: Yes this diesel is chucking out a particularly dense cloud of exhaust isn't it.
