Dunster Castle 6/7

On the way out of the castle at Dunster is a corridor with a great collection of pots and plants decorating the windows. I guess, at the right time of year, this would be a riot of colour.

I am not sure this room would take kindly to riots, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Definitely not Ray of the physical type anyway.

Lovely shot Brian! Looks like the geraniums are blooming brilliantly smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Frances, it's a nice show of growth altogether.
So pretty! Lovely shot, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.

The plant on the wall is hoya. I have several covering the inside of my house. They bloom but not at specific times of year. Mine have been blooming since spring because I fertilize then. I will stop that in September and they will have a rest. They may bloom again in mid winter. Hoya is night scented and it is a lovely but strong scent. I can't keep them upstairs as the scent keeps me awake. I really love hoyas.
Brian Walbey: It's not a plant I am familiar with, it sounds as though it needs quite a lot of looking after to have it at its best.
What a lovely presentation Brian. I am enjoying your series!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
It makes a pleasant display Brian. I like the overhangers. Are they called spider plants?
Brian Walbey: It is nice I agree. I think they are Spider Plants, but I'm not an expert.
Lovely array of plants. The beautiful tile, window and skylight adds to the charm of this corridor, Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is a delightful corridor to walk along.
Looks like some spider plants there. Every home used to have them once upon a time. Almost impossible to kill them!
Brian Walbey: We used to have a Spider Plant. When a relative came to stay we had to move it out of site otherwise she wouldn't go upstairs, it was on the landing window, and she hated spiders and these plants that reminded her of them!!!
Nice pots!
Brian Walbey: Indeed they are Tom.
Lovely capture! And yes, it does look like at times in a year, this would be a riot of colors...
Brian Walbey: I guess at some times of the year there would be more colour than here. Thanks for your comment.
