St.Leonard's Church, Charlecote 4/7

Moving further in to the chancel of St.Leonard’s Church, Charlcote, a more general view looking slightly towards the Northern side of the church where a side area, behind the carved screen, holds a number of tombs, complete with alabaster effigies of various members of the Lucy family who founded the estate.

Another fine shot of the stain glass Brian. I love the gold tones to this capture. Wonderful!

There's a bloke taking a few Zzzzzzzzz's over there on the left, Brian...I trust you were quiet, like a mouse....
Brian Walbey: Indeed I was Ray but tomorrow you'll see a bit more of him.
... What a burial place eh? Good capture.
Brian Walbey: Well if one has to be dead then one could end up in worse places than this.

a very good photo of the altar area with the stained glass window - a really fine church!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, it is a lovely church.
The colours are beautiful, Brian. I always love the tombs in churches.
Brian Walbey: Yes I liked the colour of the stone. More of that tomb on Friday.
such richness...
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chantal, the people who built it had a lot of money I guess.
Fine image, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.

Very impressive, indeed. The noise you have in this adds to the texture of the stone (that's not a criticism smile )
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, most of my inside shots of this place had noise, some more than others, I used Noiseware Community Edition on them but some are still to "noisy" to show on here.
