Charlecote Manor - The Grounds 2/7

At the back of Charlcote Manor is a very large area of garden surrounded on one side by the house and three sides by this lovely balustrade. This is just one corner of the garden, it is almost impossible to capture the whole area in one shot and of course there were quite a lot of other people about who I didn’t wish to include.

Stunning grounds! The colors and angle are perfect. I can well imagine what the rest of the garden looks like. smile
Brian Walbey: It is lovely isn't it. I'm showing more of the grounds during the week, a great place to walk.

Clever gardeners.
Brian Walbey: I guess one needs to plan it all before starting the planting.

Beautiful garden and the flowers are very well placed
Brian Walbey: Indeed and it was obviously well thought out in advance.
I love the flowers arranged like a flower! smile
Brian Walbey: So do I, a lot of planning went in to this I would think.

I'm sure you had to work hard to keep people out of your shots at Charlecote
Brian Walbey: Indeed I did Chris, I didn't mind so much round the parkland, but not in front of the flower beds.

Those other people were obviously the 3 stooges ... an excellent decision to leave 'em out of it.
Brian Walbey: I made such a good job of leaving them out that I never saw them all day smile
This is a beautiful garden and a wonderful image Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter. I guess a lot of work went in to these flower beds.

Beautiful formal garden with the wedges of colour. Also like the vast background.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Aussie, a lot of work must have gone in to this.

Brian Walbey: Isn't it lovely, there were several others, all surrounded by people though!!

The gardener is playing with colour Brian.
Brian Walbey: And making a very pleasant job of it Chad.
This is what i would call a flower arrangement.
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed, one of several in the area but the only one without loads of people round it at the time.
I think I would have been tempted to take up residence on that lovely corner bench for a good long time, Brian, and drink in all the beauty surrounding me.
Brian Walbey: I seem to remember we did take a short break on the verandah because we spoke to one of the young ladies looking after some of the other flower beds.
Lovely gardens,Brian, you did well to keep others out of the shot, always a problem at these places.
Brian Walbey: Yes the other beds like this all had people round so to get it like this was a stroke of luck.
Beautiful colours, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes the whole flower bed is lovely isn't it.
I recall the gardens here are always very fine Brian
Brian Walbey: They certainly were on that day Bill.
Beautiful garden, fantastic photossmile Greetings
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much for your kind comment.
Looks like a good bit of garden design Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes I guess some work went in to designing this. There are more like this behind me.

By going at "normal" times of the year, you get to see the gardens looking at their best. When I was there one November, it was just empty flowerbeds sad
Brian Walbey: I can sympathise with that Alan, I guess November is not a good season for any gardens.
A nice bit of planting!
Brian Walbey: Must have taken some sorting out Tom.
That's beautiful Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Sally, it must have taken some sorting out.
A very good capture > colours and textures.
Brian Walbey: Isn't it a really lovely flower bed, there were some more on the verandah.
