Above Keswick, on a low hill in Lake District terms, is the Castlerigg Stone Circle, an ancient monument which I will show more of at a later date. The late afternoon light was quite good so I turned my camera round and took this panorama looking South-east towards High Seat (?). Just about everywhere we went sheep, and their recently born lambs, were grazing, quite unflurried by everybody passing by. [7 shot panorama]
Below is a shot of part of the Castlerigg Stone Circle where the above panorama was taken. It is difficult to get an image of the whole circle as a constant flow of visitors are in and out of the place so this is just one small part of it, albeit there is a fine backdrop to the stones.
