Natures Growth

I can’t remember where I took this apart from the fact it was on the wall of a churchyard during the weekend of last years Jubilee celebrations. It isn’t the sort of subject I take very often but it just caught my eye. The Lake District has beckoned us for a few days, I will catch up with any comments and your postings upon our return.

Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, it's not the usual sort of shot I take, indeed I should look for more.

This is exactly the kind of thing I do like to take shots of, Brian and this is gorgeous! This is a likey that I wish I had taken.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, I ought to try more of this sort of shot I suppose.
I hope the ivy doesn't take over
It's a great close up Brian, I like the formation of the bright yellow lichen!

The lichens that attach themselves to rocks can be very attractive, as here.
Brian Walbey: Yes, not a normal subject for me but it just caught my eye.
