St.Wystan's, Repton 7/7

To finish this short look at the parish church of St.Wystan’s at Repton a view looking back down the nave from the chancel area and into the the base of the tower. As an adjunct to this series many of you in the U.K.will also be aware that Repton is home to one of the best co-educational boarding schools in England today with a history dating back to 1557, one day perhaps I will return to Repton and explore the school buildings and the village in more detail.

Beautiful shot Brian! You captured the stone, wood and stained glass very nicely.
Brian Walbey: I really mean thanks very much Frances, sorry about that, another Senior Moment!

Yes a tour of Repton would be exciting
Brian Walbey: Something to put down on the list of things to do this summer, if we ever get one!!
This is a good image to close out the series of St.Wystan's parish church... i have enjoyed your photos and the history as well Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: I'm so pleased you have enjoyed this series Peter.
A beautiful perspective to end your series Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.
Looks as though that end hasn't had as much work done on it - or perhaps better work!
Brian Walbey: I guess some of it is very old Tom and when it was built the finer arts of crafting stone hadn't been learnt.
A grand nave, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Graeme, altogether a ice looking church.
