Hidcote Manor Garden 6/12

After World War II Lawrence Johnston spent most of his time at Jardin Serre de la Madone, his garden in the south of France; and in 1947 he entrusted Hidcote to the National Trust. Quite a large area of the garden is given over to shrubs and bushes trimmed into various shapes, I particularly liked this group of four and the path between.

Meticulously manicured garden. Simply lovely Brian smile

I think you must feel rather small walking between these!

I guess this would be called bullet shaped. This is a popular shape.

a formal garden par excellence -but there are also other garden rooms you will show for sure. Your photo gives us the feel to go along this path.
Brian Walbey: Yes there are a few more parts of the garden I have yet to show.

Brian Walbey: I guess that's one way of looking at it Juan smile
Very nice bullets shapes Brian! Fine capture.
Brian Walbey: I wouldn't want to be the one who has to keep these trimmed.

What beautiful shapes. They must be expert gardeners; mine would have been chopped right down as I try to match one against the other.
Brian Walbey: I couldn't be doing with this sort of thing in our garden, still I guess people have a job and wage for looking after them which is a good thing.
