Lulworth Cove 7/7

Yesterday we saw this small boat making its way back from the open sea through the narrow entrance to the cove and now the crew have pulled up on to the stony beach to unload what looks like a small catch of fish. Moored up behind is one of the pleasure craft that takes passengers on a ride out of the cove and along the coast to see more of the cliffs and caves that exist in this area.

The cove is an oasis of calm in rough weather

Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin. It is a miserable morning here also and set to get even more so with loads of the white stuff again if the forecast is correct!!

Thta's how I remember the sea, so clear smile
Brian Walbey: I guess the floor of the bay is hard rock rather than sand which helps the water to remain clear.
The sea looks pretty clean around there!

Great vantage point Brian. The colours are superb!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.
Nice and bright, Brian. Good clarity in the sea.

Neither are my sort of boat. I like somewhere with a galley to make a cuppa smile The RIB looks the sort that will fly through the seas.
Brian Walbey: Yes neither boat would be my choice either Alan. The RIB gives "high-speed" trips once it has exited the bay.
