Wareham - The Town 2/6

Last Tuesday’s image from Wareham was of the Quay but this one, taken from more or less the same place, shows the other side of the road bridge over the River Frome from yesterday and also the way through to the main street in the town and the tower of the disused church of Holy Trinity, which was being refurbished for other purposes, I think the Tourist Information Office.

I suppose "tourists" could be regarded as one of the holy sects, Brian...especially if you are trying to make a quid.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Ray, but Wareham is a very popular place for tourists, especially those like Maureen and me of a senior age.
More of the lovely day!
Brian Walbey: Indeed Elizabeth, we had a very pleasant time in Wareham that day. Put it on your list of places to visit when you venture to England one day.
You could produce a series of souvenir postcards from these pictures Brian
Brian Walbey: I guess so Bill, but I wouldn't know where to start.
I like the stunted tower of the church ...
Brian Walbey: Yes it's a good looking tower and very English.

It is good to see a church once decommissioned being used for something else
Brian Walbey: Couldn't agree more Chris, I tried to get in but it was like a building site.
very friendly
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chantal.

England ist not only a green and pleasant land but also a blue and pleasant land!
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Philine, there's not much wrong with England, just some of the people in it, like most places probably.
Nice view of the approach into town from here Brian
Brian Walbey: Yes it is, thanks Janet.

I am particularly enjoying the Wareham series, as my maternal ancestors lived here in the 18th and early 19th Centuries. Unfortunately a disastrous town fire destroyed most of the Parish Registers, which is very frustrating for me
Brian Walbey: I hope you keep enjoying the series Lisl, it goes on, in one way or another, until 3rd.February, and then I have the two churches to cover later this year.
the blue sky and the green grass are very pleasing to the eye Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush.

Depending on the time of day, I will sometimes go through Wareham instead of taking the bypass. It;s a delightful little place as you have shown us.
Brian Walbey: Yes we really liked the place not having been there before.

Lovely clouds make the photo picture-postcard-perfect.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike.
Lovely shot Brian: summer bright! smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin, oh that it could be like this now.
Beautiful colours reminding us of summer weather. I wish our lawn was so green and manicured.
Brian Walbey: Indeed it will be nice when we have got nice weather like this back with us.
A beautiful and serene place to visit Brian!
Brian Walbey: Yes it is Richard, we really enjoyed Wareham.
Nice to be able to park your boat and go shopping smile
Brian Walbey: What a nice thought Tom.
A tremendous image Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Sally.
Lovely sky and good composition and colors !

Well don Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Eduardo.
A delightful scene, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes it is Graeme, I bet it's not like that today.
