Wareham - The River Frome 5/7

It’s Boat Friday and the first glimpse of a small group of privately owned craft moored up along the centre of the River Frome, leaving plenty of room for other craft to pass on either side.  This is just a few minutes walk from the Quay and riverside that I have shown you in the earlier images this week.

It's like a little stationery parade! Love the blue of the water!
Brian Walbey: A very convenient way of mooring up though isn't it.

Parked down the median? I like that, Brian. smile
Brian Walbey: Very sensible way isn't it, then they are not in each others way.

This is a very interesting picture to me. In Holland we have a different way of 'parking' ships. This looks great though.
Like ducks in a row...
Brian Walbey: I guess time and experience have made the people who decide things agree that this is the best way of 'parking' Astrid.

This is considerate parking - or mooring as we must call it
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Chris, there are a few vesels by the bank on private moorings further up.

A nice composition, but I do fine the all over evenness of the lighting a little disconcerting.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike, I couldn't do much about the light, and of course I shouldn't have even considered taking a shot during the middle of the day, according to those who think they know such things, that excludes you good self of course, I can't imagine you sticking to any "rules" when you see a subject you like.
right on for boat friday at SC
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chantal, several Boat Fridays in one shot.
They've heard it's Boat Friday and have formed an orderly queue for you Brian
Brian Walbey: They must have know I was in town Janet as it was actually a Friday when I took this smile

Great Boat Friday
Brian Walbey: Thanks vintage, and actually taken on a Friday.
A very scenic shot Brian! smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin.
It's a long jump from the bank to get on board though Brian
Brian Walbey: Best to borrow one of the boats tied up on the bank then Bill smile Horrible snow, tons of it, here today, guess it's the same for you.
Dorset folk obviously conform to the local 'lore' ... Won't get wheel clamped of course.
Brian Walbey: Not wheel clamped, rudder clamped!

I guess this will be a snow scene today - but good you have caught it in all its colour and interest
Brian Walbey: No doubt there will be snow, I prefer it like this.
Aw, Brian, they look so co-operative all lined up so neatly in single file. Great shot for Boat Friday.
Brian Walbey: Very tidy and practical way to tie up the boats isn't it.
Fabulous shot with this double perspective Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.

I wouldn't fancy try to jump ashore one moored, though smile
Brian Walbey: Long legs might do the trick Alan smile
Very considerate parking, Brian.
Brian Walbey: And practical as well Graeme.
You certainly did leave enough boats for Friday, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Spoilt for choice Tom.
How peaceful Brian, a wonderful composition.
Brian Walbey: Yes it was lovely and peaceful that morning.

Very nice, Brian...especially the rippling surface of the river.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, I thought it ideal for Boat Friday.
