Wareham - The River Frome 1/7

We stayed in Wareham for our Dorset holiday last September, a delightful little town on the banks of the River Frome. This is looking West from below the fine river bridge which I will show you later this month. These small boats are for hire for rowing up and down as one sees fit on the quieter side of the river.

A very pleasant part of Dorset Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Bill, we hadn't been to Wareham at all before staying there in a caravan for a week.

The ducks are unwilling to pay the rent for the boats...
Brian Walbey: Indeed Ray, still they don't need to really do they, only us humans need to do that.

Looks a nice spot Brian - did you you think about reducing some of the foreground?
Brian Walbey: It si a nice spot Mike. I know what you mean about the foreground but quite where to crop is the problem, Ginnie wants to go out in the orange one so I daren't crop that out smile

I'd like to take the light-orange one out for a spin, Brian, if you don't mind! smile
Brian Walbey: Be my guest Ginnie, but not today, it's cold, snowy and horrible where I live.
I hope you had a row with Maureen ...and don't mean an arguement
Brian Walbey: No we didn't Richard, she didn't feel up to rowing that afternoon smile
pick a color
Brian Walbey: I'll go for the blue one Chantal, my favourite colour.

A lovely place to stay, Brian -and one I visit quite often, but I haven't seen these colourful boats
Brian Walbey: We enjoyed Wareham, we hadn't ever been there before. This is the opposite side of the bridge to the Quay.
It does look like a very pleasant holiday spot Brian
Brian Walbey: It is Janet, we rented a caravan on a small site a short drive up the road which was very comfortable.
A delightful setting Brian!
Brian Walbey: Yes a really nice spot Martin.

Looks a lovely little spot. Did you hire a boat? Perhaps get Maureen to do a little rowing whilst you sit in the back and offer encouragement? wink
Brian Walbey: It is a nice spot Alan, well worth a visit if you are down that way. Neither of us were up for a boat ride, I think we're both getting a bit too decrepit to row!!
A wonderful and colourful composition Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.
Excellent depth and colour, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Graeme.
Enough boats for several Fridays here, Brian. Lovely scene.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Tom although I have saved a few for this coming Friday.
Fabulous colour on a dreary day like today Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks sally, oh to have a nice day like that again.
A fast moving river with... boats... ducks and flags fluttering in the wind... nice colourful shot Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter, this place has got the lot hasn't it.
excellent shot. like your view point and the way you composed it
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush, we enjoyed our visit to the river.
This is so lovely with the ducks and the colorful boats!
Brian Walbey: Yes a nice spot Elizabeth, I hope you feel the same when you see the main part of the river across the other side of the bridge that was behind me.
Really like this shot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary.
