photoblog image Lynmouth Odds And Ends 4/5

Lynmouth Odds And Ends 4/5

I found a few little odds and ends to photograph during my visit to Lynmouth two years ago. There was a whole selection of these little scarecrows for the garden flower bed, I remember I took a similar shot of these many years ago. It is 5 years ago today since I made my very first posting on Shutterchance,  here is the first image I posted.  I will be staying on for a good while yet all being well, I am forward posted until early March at the moment.

Wow! 5 years! congratulations! the cross you'd posted was very unusual and beautiful. These little scarecrows are cute!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth. The cross is in the parish church at our nearest big town, Lougborough, and is the one carried at the head of the Sunday processionals.
They are cute Brian... Penny has a Raggedy Anne that she puts at the door in Autumn....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Secretly of course a lot of we men find such things just as attractive as the ladies do, but we're far to manly to say so smile
very nice colors
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chantal.

Keep it up Brian!
Brian Walbey: I will do Chris, my stock of photos, including hundreds of slides I could scan, would easily cover several more years without even taking any more.
I had no idea how long I'd been here and just looked. It was 6 years on Nov 1. Amazing how time flies when you're having fun. Nice shot today with sunshine and happy smiles.
Brian Walbey: My thought entirely Mary, I have balance problems and can't get out a lot so when I can I make the most of my camera and SC.is my recreation at home. I wish we had the sunshine today you refer to, it is literally pouring down again, and not much hope for change.
The day's most colourful post by quite some way Brian, very cheerful!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Fred, on a dismal, damp day like today we need something bright to cheer us up.

more hats ..yummy
Brian Walbey: Less stylish though Richard.
Well done Brian. I am pleased you are going to keep us entertained well into the future too
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, and I hope it will be a long future as well.

These are fine scarecrows, I saw some uglier ones in England. The right one is forbidden to speak? I like your first posting very much, a symbol which may express your behaviour.
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comments on both images Philine. The Cross is the processional cross in the parish church of Loughborough, our nearest big town, and it is a very fine church as well.
Looking forward for five more years Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, and so am I.
Let me guess... it's Bill and the missus in disguise?
Brian Walbey: I can't speak about Angie, I've never met her, but Bill, weeeeell, it might be smile

It's Bill and Chris isn't it? This is very colourful and just right right a grey, colourless, wet day in the Yorkshire Dales. Why can't we have proper winter weather again like we did 50 years ago?
Brian Walbey: I couldn't possibly comment Alan smile We have had it a bit brighter here today although there has been some drizzle. I seem to remember you had bad weather during your stay up there last year. Our daughter, holidaying in Perth, Australia has just told us on Skype it has been 43 degrees there today!!!

Meant to say, happy 5th anniversary. I've got a feeling I've been here slightly longer but still use the free 30 image account so can't recall exactly!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan. I did consider keeping the 30 day account going but then I thought why not get something out of the pension I've been paying for all these years and decided to go to a full account.
Congratulations, Brian. I admire your staying power!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Graeme, that 5 years has gone very quickly indeed.

One more and that would be a likeness of 3 Stooges, Brian.
