Time For Tea

The second shot from the Flower Festival we went to at Sheringham, Norfolk, in July caught my eye because of the way the designer had incorporated the flowers with a delightful afternoon tea arrangement including a  very attractive choice of crockery. I did wonder if this was a ploy to drop a hint to visitors that it was time they made their way to the refreshments room!

It is, indeed, a beautiful arrangement - I like how the large blue tea cups have been used for the flowers!
Brian Walbey: Yes some of these people who do this sort of thing are very inventive and artistic, Maureen does a bit now and then but would admit she isn't in the same league as some ladies she knows.

The cupcaps look like they need a little mastication action, Brian...did you assist?
Brian Walbey: Indeed they do Ray, and no, I didn't assist, I was getting in peoples way taking photos anyway, when they weren't getting in mine!!

Very civilised too Brian
Brian Walbey: It does look that, traditional afternoon tea with the Shutterchance people.

The flowers are fabulous Brian, I'm now off to bake buns!
Brian Walbey: Well I hope your buns turned out o.k.Sally, enjoy them for Sunday tea.
A beautiful table setting to be sure and the cupcakes were there, I'm sure, for just what you are suggesting.
Brian Walbey: The cakes are sort of a finishing touch aren't they.
Very thoughtfully presented and with plenty of style Brian. The table display isn't bad either.
Brian Walbey: Then I'll take credit for one half of this presentation and a.n.other can take the credit for the rest Richard smile
Nice composition and colors in this picture Brian...
This cakes are saying: Eat me!
Un saludo
Brian Walbey: Thanks Eduardo, the cakes do look good, mind you after four days at the show they will have been a bit stale by the end.
Beautiful Brian. It beats the beer tent
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, I'm not too worried about Beer tents these days, sadly it was so crowded we ended up finding somewhere else for our mid-morning repast.

Oh, this looks so typically English - yes, today should be time for a cream tea (but I have to supervise in the Barlach- exhibition at one of the churches).
Brian Walbey: Yes it does look very English, and those cupcakes look delicious.
Quite a beautiful table setting Brian! Fine capture.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
I believe that this scene is called High Tea in Canada Brian!... wonderful composition....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter, it is High Tea here also, with thinly cut Cucumber sandwiches.

No such hints would be needed in my case. That would have been the prime motivator for my visit, I think smile A very attractive and a well executed image.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan. The tea hall (!) was so busy we went elsewhere for our mid-morning repast.
Nice presentation, Brian. Most appealing.
Brian Walbey: Yes I thought it quite nice, thanks Graeme.
I'd love that tea party. The blues really add a pop to the table.
Brian Walbey: Yes it looks really attractive doesn't it.
