Blickling Garden 2/5

Very similar to the view of the garden I posted yesterday but from the other side of the main avenue which leads up towards the Romanesque style summer house at the far end which is called the Garden Room.

Cripes, Brian!

What's happening to the sky...it appears to be melting...
Brian Walbey: Not the normal sort of Norfolk sky Ray, perhaps a tad over on the Topaz for this sky.
I'd have a hard time leaving this garden to do anything!
Brian Walbey: So would I Elizabeth, it is a really nice one.
What a magnificent garden!! ... i like this composition very much Brian... the sky in this shot shows beautiful rainbow colours above the clouds....petersmile
Brian Walbey: It is a fine garden as you say peter. The sky has suffered a bit in my processing I think.

Good to see it with few people milling around, Brian
Brian Walbey: It wasn't a very nice day at the time and it kept people away, which is ideal by me for photos.

I like the topiary
Brian Walbey: I'm glad someone does, Juan and Mr.Trim are of the opposite persuasion.

Wonderful image Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Sally.
Ah! Act 1 Scene 2.

I'm no fan of topiary
Brian Walbey: Then you are at odds with our friend from Bathampton but in agreement with our friend Juan.

A fair bit of topiary work here Brian.
Brian Walbey: That's you and Chris in favour, and Juan and Mr.Trim against the topiary Chad.
The topiary looks like woolly hats!
Brian Walbey: It does, and there are some among us who aren't too happy with the topiary, no names, but one comes from Spain and the other from Leicester!

Suitably majestic.
Brian Walbey: Ah somebody who isn't put off by the topiary, thanks Mike.
very well maintained gardens
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Chantal, I am sure you would enjoy it even more if your husband could wheel you through it and then sit awhile and enjoy the Norfolk air.

Yes, some gardeners are caring for this beautiful lawn and all the plants - a very fine garden that enjoys the rain.
Brian Walbey: They had quite a team working there, it was a job not to get them in the shots, although i did capture one of the barrows, should have cloned it out.
Another lovely shot Brian. I like the angle
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, it is the pair to yesterdays from the other side of the centre line.
I like it that this avenue is surrounded by those mature; I'm sure the place has a good atmosphere, for relaxation smile A lovely shot Brian!
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely avenue Martin, well worth a visit if you get up that way.
Another wonderful and impressive perspective Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I like to take two shots of something like this, one either side of the centre line.
They've obviously been mowing and rolling that lawn for several hundred years!
Brian Walbey: Indeed I guess they have Tom, not the same people every time though smile

Well taken, Brian; plenty of detail in the sky, too.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Alan.
Good views, Brian. I like imaginative topiary. The wheelbarrow cut looks nearly real!
Brian Walbey: There seems to be mixed feelings about the topiary Graeme, it's there so that's it really. I should have cloned out the barrow I suppose.
