Seen At Hatton Locks #2

Another miscellaneous shot from Hatton Locks was this sculpture of what I presume is supposed to be a Dragonfly in a small pool close to the car parking area.  Quite an original idea isn't it.

And...I believe you once told me you didn't have much success with Dragonflies, Brian...you've captured the rare "Stainless Darter" beautifully!
Brian Walbey: Fortunately the "Stainless Darter" was having a few minutes rest as I walked past Ray smile
I was about to say that the dragonflies in England are a tough looking bunch!... until i read your description Brian... good find and a nice sculpture....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Quite an original sculpture isn't it, the only Dragonfly that has never moved for me just as i pressed the shutter!
I really love that!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.
not a real one, thank god
Brian Walbey: No it isn't but what a great sculpture.
I have just realised you changed yesterday's pic....no wonder I hadn't seen it. I like this!
Brian Walbey: I got my postings mixed up following an upload yesterday, see my other reply to your comments this weekend.
The thing about punting is that you shouldn't allow your punt to sink.
Brian Walbey: Lol. Never thought of that, your sojourn in Franceland has sharpened your wit somewhat, or was it the wine!

Brilliant idea!
Brian Walbey: Yes and a good sculpture Chris.
birds are now in terror, great idea!
Brian Walbey: No doubt the birds wouldn't go near this I should think.
Sure would love one for my pond. It is beautiful!
Brian Walbey: WE haven't got a pond but I would still like one for the garden.
Oh, just for a moment there, Brian, this is great smile
Brian Walbey: Best ever picture I've taken of a Dragonfly Frank, usually they've gone before I press the shutter!
a very detailed and accurate replica
Brian Walbey: Yes it's rather good isn't it.
The amazing thing is that it hasn't been nicked!
Brian Walbey: I don't disagree with you there Tom, is it made of metal.

You really would not want to see a real dragonfly this size!
Brian Walbey: Definitely not Alan.
At first glance, just for a split second,.. Good, though isn't it.
Brian Walbey: A good photo opportunity Graeme.
A most suitable sculpture for the location, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes it is Beverly, but thank goodness Dragonflies don't come that size in the wild!
