Taken at a 40's event at our local Shepshed Watermill a few weeks back. I was just wondering whether the chap in yesterdays posting was keeping his eye on these two young ladies just across from him. I don't know who they were supposed to be taking off but they looked very nice doing it.
THE REAL THING
I started on Monday with a man dressed in Home Guard uniform but if you click here you will find a picture of the real thing. Taken in the early 1940's the man on the right hand end of the the back row is MY DAD, he was already in to his 30's at the time and was also in a reserved occupation so he volunteered for the Home Guard (Local Defence Volunteers) instead of going in the main forces.
