A Stroll At Kedleston Hall 7/7

To finish this series of the parkland at Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire, we were lucky to pass by this little family of Swans by the lake, and as you can see, there were some water birds already using the waters as somewhere to stop over, perhaps for the winter.

Really pleasant pastoral image, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, the autumn colours add to it I think.
I like the swan family
Brian Walbey: And the little ones having a mid-morning snooze.

Really pleasant capture Brian who needs to go abroad with scenes like this.
Brian Walbey: I quite agree, it might be nice in some places abroad but we have plenty of natural beauty to look at here.
The best one of the series Brian. fine composition
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Bill.

Best one yet Brian, formally strong, good colour and of course some natural interest focused within the frame.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike. I would like to enter it in a competition at my club but sadly it would be a bit too much "pretty picture".
I'm with Mike on this one. The birds in the middle look like terns.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Juan, I also like this one very much myself.
Such a pretty shot. Seems like a place I would like.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, I'm pretty sure you would enjoy a visit to Kedleston.
A wonderful bucolic image Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
Nice to be able to snooze with mum and dad in charge smile A bit early for over-wintering birds, I think - just some gulls and a few coot, I think.
Brian Walbey: This was early September last year Tom and yes, a bit early for many birds coming over for the winter.

A cracking shot to end the series. You've done well to control the exposure on the swans; always difficult to do. Again the hint of autumn colours appeals.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, it was early September if I recall.

A fine & tranquil avian scene Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed it was Chris, thanks for your comment.
Beautifully lit, Brian. A really pleasant scene.
Brian Walbey: Yes there was hardly anybody about so the Swans were happy to sit about.
How wonderful to catch the swans - and with such lovely light!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth, with not many people about the Swans could remain undisturbed.
nice colours on the trees. they [the swans] do not seem to be minding you
Brian Walbey: There was only Maureen and me near them so they were happy to remain sitting about.
