photoblog image St.George's Church and Priory, Dunster 5/7

St.George's Church and Priory, Dunster 5/7

Following on from yesterdays image of the chancel in this lovely church I managed to get a fairly close-up shot of the altar which can just be seen at the rear of yesterdays image, it is Victorian and is framed by two lovely floor standing candelabra and what a fine reredos depicting Jesus surrounded by various saints.

We are off to Norfolk for a week so I will catch up with all of your comments and postings when I get back, until then I have posted the end of this series and the start of a new long one which I hope you will enjoy.

A bit too noisy for me Brian - one of the advantages of B&W is that the colour artefacts just vanish into the general noise.
Brian Walbey: I know what you mean about the noise Mike but I felt the colours were important in this one.
This just shouts Victorian. Mind you I like Victorian!
A fine looking devotional altarpiece Brian.

Brian Walbey: We had a fine time thanks John, we didn't, fortunately, get the lousy weather everyone else did.
