MAN AT PLAY

I featured a shot or two from pictures of these model railway engines in a series a long time ago.  I didn't use this one in that but have entered it in a competition at the Club.  I quite like it, the Judge didn't, so no award!  Thanks for your comments while we were away, I will try and answer some of them if necessary.  We had a good weekend but sadly my long term Vertigo problems caught up with me on Monday and we came home instead of travelling to attend my Aunts funeral yesterday.  I did however take a lot of pictures, enough for at least 5 audio/visual sequences and goodness knows how many SC series.

I like it a lot, Brian.

I think the title should be "Men at play".
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, I think I called one of the other versions that title.
A picture displaying passionate interests and full of detail. Pretty good, I thought.
Brian Walbey: Yes one man at work the other at play.

A working model to be proud of
Brian Walbey: It ran very well Chris, they have quite a big track circuit there and give rides to the children.
I love this - and the title! Sorry about your vertigo - such a problem that can be, but am glad you got lots of photos to share with us... were any of them taken from a laying down position? smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth. The Vertigo is a nuisance and problem at times although if I get involved taking photos my attention to that seems to override the uncomfortable feelings for a while. It was sad I had to miss my elderly Aunts funeral though, I felt I was letting my Uncle, who is a lovely man, down.
I love to see this Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Juan.

Oh, the boys must be happy to play with their toys!
Good wishes for your health! (Oh, I know those problems (caused by the ears) from my mother -do you know something about Linda? I miss her on SC!)
Brian Walbey: There are quite a few men with large engines like this at this place and they give the children rides on little trains round their quite long track. I thought about Linda the other day, she hasn't been on for a while, people do tend to come and go though.
Looks like a lot of concentration and macros. Well seen and taken.
Brian Walbey: Hello Sheila, nice to hear from you again, I hope all is going well. Thanks for your comment, these really are boys toys aren't they.

I admire the skill of the people that can build such things. The locos are surprisingly powerful.

Sorry to hear about your health issues; that must be very frustrating.
Brian Walbey: So do I Alan, not something I could do. The Vertigo is a nuisance at times, I was sad to have to miss my Aunts funeral yesterday.
men will be boys again
Brian Walbey: There's an old saying Chantal, men never grow up, I think it must be true.

How fun, Brian, especially with the photographer in his face. I LOVE model trains.

I'm glad to see you back but am sorry to hear about your vertigo issues. sad
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, the Vertigo gets to be a nuisance at times, hence Maureen always does the driving these days. Glad ou like the photo, these guys haul little trains with these engines for the local children to ride on. What a hobby!
Nice capture of him with his toy Brian. Sorry you had vertigo problems
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, the Vertigo has been with me in one form or another for over 20 years, a real nuisance at times.
Big boys toys Briangrin. Sorry that you have been unwell, hope you are feeling better now
Brian Walbey: They are indeed Bill. Thanks for your good wishes, I do feel a bit better than when I was away but sadly I had to miss my Aunts funeral on Tuesday and then would you believe that my Uncle died yesterday, two weeks after my Aunt, very sad.

The real big boys toys
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed vintage.
I like this a lot Brian, it's a really engaging shot, with added dimension! Ditto Ray: Men at Play, fits for me smile
Brian Walbey: Wouldn't it be great fun to have one of those in the back garden.
Hope you're feeling better Brian ... Funerals are no fun even in the best of health.

I think they are both massaging their ego's with their own specific toy.
Brian Walbey: I think they are too Richard. Sadly we didn't get to my Aunts funeral in Meldreth on Tuesday because of my balance problems and then, would you believe, my Uncle died yesterday, how strange.
Being myself a flying model planes builder I can only appreciate the job done here Brian.
Great capture.
Brian Walbey: There must be a great satisfaction in building one of these or a model plane, one does see some great plane models about from time time.
this is a great image. for train enthusiasts, i reckon its a nice place to visit and go wild
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush. These men have a large track naxt to a sports centre and give children rides on little carriages hauled by these little engines.
