A Look Inside Shugborough House 3/7

I felt this was the most magnificent of the rooms we saw at Shugborough, and it is , of course, the Library.  It is in fact two small rooms linked by the finely decorated archway, and what book lover wouldn’t enjoy sitting here and enjoying a good read with a suitable beverage at ones side.

...and a French maid to turn the pages, Brian.

This image deserves a "wow".
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray.
I'd be too busy looking at all the details in the decorations of this room to read. And if I took the maiden sculpture home top left... do you think anyone would notice? : ) ...3 excellent pix so far...
Brian Walbey: Thanks Jacquelyn, it is quite a place isn't it, this is the room I think I like the best.
Superb framing Brian... it surely is a grand place....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Who couldn't avoid enjoying sitting in here with a good book Peter.
Oooh - I really love this!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth, this is my favourite room of the house I think.
Posh ... How the five percent live [grin]
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed Richard, but you really want all the worry and cost of looking after a place like this, no I thought not smile
You were certainly right about this Brian, nothing short of magnificent.
Brian Walbey: Isn't it just Fred, my favourite room of the house.
Shugborough is lovely inside although the outside is not the most appealing. This is a fine picture Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. I was a bit disappointed with the outside to be honest but the inside makes up for it.
the POV is nice for this overview of the room
Brian Walbey: This is the only angle one can get for this room, there is a cord barrier acroos the room below the camera, at least it is a good viewpoint as you say.
Wonderful Brian, it's very grand and yet comfortable looking smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin. I could easily spend an afternoon sitting in there with a good book and being served my coffee by that French Maid Ray keeps on about!

I doubt if the books ever get read now, Brian
Brian Walbey: No I doubt it also Lisl, but isn't it a lovely room.
Very nice indeed, the lighting seems perfect, excellent interior shot.
Brian Walbey: Thanks John, it all fell into place nicely that day.
Knowing me I would spill my coffee all over that fine chair Brian.
Brian Walbey: And me also Chad!

Rather more grand than my own library (a few shelves stuffed with books at all sorts of angles smile. It's almost a shame to take a book out here but I like the idea of a quiet read with a glass of something.
Brian Walbey: We have several bookcases in different rooms of the house, wouldn't it be great to have a lovely room like this.
This is really beautiful Brian. I like the depth of your image!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, it really is a lovely room, quite the best in the house.
Again, a wow to the image with or without the reading assistant!
Brian Walbey: Isn't it just a lovely library Juan, it would be a pleasure to sit and read quietly in this room, thanks for your comment.
smashing shot of the interiors. i like the result of your exposure settings here
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush. Wouldn't you just like to sit in there and have a quiet read.
