Maureen's Afternoon Out 6/7

A couple of weeks ago Maureen was taken to see the Spring flowers at Felley Priory, just off Junction 27 of the M1, and all this weeks postings are pictures taken by her during the visit.  Perhaps somebody might be able to name these delightul waterside flowers, I notice there is another clump still to flower further along the waters edge.

I believe it's a yellow arum (Arum creticum). But even if I'm wrong- they're still beautiful!
Brian Walbey: It is an Arum according to other people Elizabeth, thanks for your comment.
Certainly an Arum by the look of it. Arum Macatulum perhaps. Lords and ladies or cuckoo pint.
Brian Walbey: Everyone seems to be in agreement with you Bill.
No matter which plant is it Brian, you have done a wonerful shot.
The colors and composition are beautiful...
Saludos!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Eduardo, it was my Maureen who took the shot, I just twiddled it a bit.

This looks like an Arum Lily to me
Brian Walbey: Everyone seems to be of the same opinion Chris.

I am very much enjoying your afternoon out, Maureen.
This must have been double pleasure for you after the surgery. Going out again and doing a fabulous job, taking pictures.
Brian Walbey: She had a really nice afternoon Astrid, it was with the ladies group from our church, who are all really nice people. She can drive again now and I am a bit concerned she might be overdoing things a bit though, I will have to make sure she still takes it easy for a while.

what a beautiful bunch of flowers- if Bill is right: Arum Maculatum "known by an abundance of common names including Wild arum, Lords and Ladies, Devils and Angels, Cows and Bulls, Cuckoo-Pint, Adam and Eve, Bobbins, Naked Boys, Starch-Root and Wake Robin."- but I'm not sure.
Brian Walbey: Arum seems to be the general opinion Philine, but you have come up with the longest list of alternative names.

Don't know what there called Brian but they look a beautiful flower superbly taken by Maureen.
Brian Walbey: Apparently they are called Arum, I really ought to have known that.
We don't have arum lilies growing wild. Beautiful!
Brian Walbey: What a shame Mary, they are lovely flowers.
Definitely looks like Arum to me Brian. They are so beautiful!
Brian Walbey: They are Richard, and others have said it is an Arum.

My favourite in this excellent series, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks for your comments Ray, as you can see Maureen attracted some nice comments about her photos, I will admit to a bit of cropping etc.on her behalf.
