ON THE SHORE - BOAT FRIDAY SPECIAL

Like a few of the other images in this series I haven't any idea when and where I took this picture.  I do remember however seeing the boat on the gravel shore and the small yacht in just the right place to fill that gap on the right hand side of the picture.

Just to bring you up to date it was four weeks ago on Tuesday that Maureen had her operation and she is doing very well in her convalescence although I will not let her do anything requiring much in the way of effort for a while yet so my comments/replies will continue to be a bit spasmodic for a while longer.

The color on this boat is what makes this one so interesting to me! you just be as spastic as you need to so long as you're taking care of Maureen!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.

I suppose pebbles tickle the keel, Brian, but that cannot compare with the pleasure of sharing silky salt water with a sailing ketch.

Sounds like Maureen has you under good control. [grin]
Brian Walbey: I've never been on a little sailing boat, mind you I only learnt to swim when I was about 40, and then not very well.
Great Boat Friday photo... Cool colour & rust too. Best wishes to you both.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Jacquelyn.

Pleased to hear Maureen is doing well. Your cooking must be improving by now with all the practice you must be getting grin
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, we are not starving and she is venturing back into the kitchen from time to time, I shall soon know where I am not wanted, hopefully smile
No worries - take care of your woman. Really LOVE this shot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, we are getting along fine, she is going to drive just a bit in the next few days she says.

I'vebeen watching the BBC TV series The Fisherman's Apprentice with Monty halls and that features these sorts of fishing boats. Its a hard life by the look of it for not a lot of return.
Brian Walbey: I didn't watch that series Alan although I knew it was on. I think any sea fishing job is a hard life but especially on the small boats.
Nice to hear that Maureen is doing well Brian.
Lovely capture. I love the tones!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.
Your spasms are very wellcome. Nice image & hope Maureen gets completely well Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Juan.
A delightful boat scene and a rather warming colour Brian. Pleased to hear the news about Maureen.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Chad.
Well balanced shot, Brian. If it jogs your memory, the boat's registered in Exeter. Glad all is well.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Graeme. It must have been when we went down that way many years ago.
