RAF FALCONS

Another picture about which I can neither remember when or where it was taken but all I can say is that it is a picture of the famous RAF Falcons sky-diving formation team.  The RAF Falcons are recognised as the UK's premier military parachute display team. They perform their unique and colourful aerial display at numerous venues nationwide and are renowned for their famous 11-person non-contact canopy stack display routine. Based at RAF Brize Norton as part of the No. 1 Parachute Training School, the RAF Falcons undertake extensive preparation as display parachuting requires hard work, a high level of skill and trust in other team members and their equipment. Members do a 3 year tour on the Display Team

Eerrrr...won't the enemy see them coming, Brian?
Brian Walbey: I think they might well spot them Ray smile
i am sure it requires a lot of effort and coordination. i wonder if the one at the top has visibility issues descending among the multi coloured smoke plumes[?]
Brian Walbey: Not my idea of passing the time Ayush. You are probably right about the one at the top of the stack.

Fascinating, Brian. I did not know that there was a display team. What with these and the Red Arrows, are there any RAF personnel left to engage in combat? wink
Brian Walbey: I suspect there might be a couple of Air Vice Marshals about somewhere Alan. These guys put on a good display.
