photoblog image Belvoir Lodge 5/7

Belvoir Lodge 5/7

There is quite a variety of flowers and shrubs throughout the garden and here is a collage of just a few of them.  I haven’t got a macro lens, although I have since purchased a set of close-up filters for the front of my lens, so these are mostly taken using the standard zoom on my camera using the Macro Mode setting.

We collected Maureen from hospital yesterday, fortunately her surgery turned out to be less extensive than first suggested, although she will still have a lengthy period of regaining full fitness so, as I said on Monday, please excuse me if don't comment or reply quite so much for a while, I've got to pretend I'm head of the houshold for a while

Onion seed-head, bottom left, is my favourite in this colourful and excellent montage, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I would like to be able to go in closer to something like that, one day perhaps.
Each photo has it's own unique loveliness Brian... All the best to Maureen.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Jacquelyn.
I kind of prefer the fir cones! All are wonderful- you did just fine without the macro lens, Brian! So glad Maureen came through so well! You take good care of her!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.

You're doing just fine without a macro lens, Brian, as this collage clearly testifies.

Thanks for the update on Maureen. Best of wishes to you both as she recuperates!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ginnie.

This is a fine collection Brian. Glad you hear Maureen is ok: just follow her orders to the letter and you will be ok!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris. I will follow your very sensible advice to the letter smile
A fine set of close ups, I particularly like the Eryngium
so sharp in both respects.

So pleased to hear about Maureen`s surgery being less extensive than expected. That is good news. I`m looking forward to hearing that she is making steady progress with her recovery.

Lovely collage! Those pine cones are rather special. (:o)

Really gorgeous collage, Brian. Give the best to Maureen.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Mary.
What gardens are there for Brian to walk about and admire the beauty.
Brian Walbey: Yes they are not large gardens but are nice to walk around, I think we might go to this function again this year as the gardens are normally private.
