Round My Way #2/5

Field at Charley

Charley is a civil parish located in the North West Leicestershire district of Leicestershire, England. According to the 2001 census, it had a population of 203. It is set within the Charnwood Forest.

Every time we drive past this spot I want to photograph it just like this, indeed I have seen many pictures taken here, it is delightful.

What is the name of this mighty river, Brian?
Brian Walbey: Lol. The River Dribble I should think Ray smile

Brian Walbey: Many thanks Peter.
A very serene scene!
Brian Walbey: Yes that is a nice little spot and no more than a mile over the hill from the small town we live in, a different world in a short distance.

With a pleasant little stream too
Brian Walbey: It is a delightful little spot Chris, about 1.5 miles from M1 Jnctn.23 would you believe.
It is a very nice spot by the look of it Brian
Brian Walbey: A lovely spot Bill, I always enjoy passing by here and it is very well photographed by local snappers.

It must be interesting to watch the seasons change here Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is Chad, but in May/June the greens in this area are amazing, so many different shades.
The grass is so short, it looks like pasture. Nice composition.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary. Off picture to the right is a small riding school and the horses graze this land all year, apart from really severe weather. They look comical in their winter blanket coats on really cold days.

Your route takes you past beautiful places Brian, its a long time since we have been to the area, it looks just as good smile
Brian Walbey: If Steve can remember the area this is the crossroads over the hill just past The Jolly Farmers at Shepshed on the way to the Monastery and the Forest Rock on the edge of Coalville.
The little stream mirrors the deep blue sky beautifully, Brian. Lovely peaceful feel to this image.
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely spot Beverly, and there are quite a few walks starting here, but not across this land, it is a private riding school area.
Nice local landscape.
Brian Walbey: Yes it is quite a pleasant little area round there John.
It was looking idyllic that day Brian. Lovely shot
