photoblog image Robin Hoods Bay 5/7

Robin Hoods Bay 5/7

(SCROLL DOWN FOR THE FINAL DUDLEY LINK, THE GROUP SHOT.)

Well it is Boat Friday.  The Bay Hotel stands just above the shoreline with a few boats pulled up from the beach below.

The oval black plaque on the wall of the hotel refers to the "Coast to Coast" walk for which the town is famous, but you will see more of that on Sunday.  If you will not be looking in then you can read more about the walk here

DUDLEY IMAGE ALERT!

Les has sent me details of how to include pictures in this area but in the meantime this link will take you to my final, and group, shot from our meet at the Black Country Museum in the English Midlands on Sunday.

Maureen did very well to herd the mob into some semblance of a group, Brian.

I have enjoyed this little series, and would have liked to be there.
Brian Walbey: And I am certain that all of us would have enjoyed being able to meet you Ray, you comment on our shots every day with your own distinctive aplomb, I guess you might have been with us in spirit at least.
Brian, this has to be one of your best. A great picture.
Brian Walbey: Well thanks very much Frances.
Excellent capture! Brian, I love that the boat has lobster cages. Cute! wink
Brian Walbey: A lot of these small coastal villages have little boats going out to catch lobsters and crabs.
Great Boat Friday Brian.... and the Bay Hotel looks as though it is about to fall into the Robin Hood's Bay....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter. Yes it is right on the very edge of the sea wall.
Great photo! And I've really enjoyed seeing the whole crew!! Thanks for the pics!
Brian Walbey: And thanks for your comments Elizabeth.

Robin Hoods Bay looks like a place I'd love to visit, Brian, like so many of your other places!

Maureen, like Tracy, both got great group pictures. I love it!
Brian Walbey: As I said about Runswick Bay, just up the coast from here, that I showed recently, I know you and Astrid would find lots of pictures here Ginnie. Yes Maureen done herself proud with this one.
I liked all your pix of the SC gang Brian!!

I seriously think it shouldn't be so hard to post extra pix below. On my mac I still can't do it. All the instructions I've received still gives me a ? for a picture. : ( I always end up using a link.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Jacquelyn. Les Auld has sent me some instructions as to how posts pictures below, he puts them on his Flickr and then goes through a procedure to get them in. If you wish I will send his notes on to you, let me know.

I've heard of Wainwright's Bar. I'm sure Julia Bradbury has been in there on one of her TV programmes (probably the one about the Coast-to-Coast!). The No Parking notice seems to be stated the obvious but perhaps you have to these days.
Brian Walbey: THaks Alan, yes I saw the Julia Bradbury series on the Coast-to-coast. Tomorrow you will see where the No Parking sign tells you not to park, as if one would.

Many thanks for the group photo from Dudley. Some I recognise, others I know the names but not the faces.
Brian Walbey: And indeed you met some of them the day before Alan, some of them were new to me as well, but without fear or favour they were all great people to spend time with.
A jolly good boat friday pictue. The composition works well with the boats sitting on the quay.
Brian Walbey: Yes as soon as we got to this spot I thought, ah a Boat Friday shot.
