'Scene' Around Whitby 12/14

A series of odd bits and pieces I saw around Whitby in May.

This group were enjoying their ice-creams outside Whitby Railway Station.  I thought what a magnificent bike they have here, they didn't seem at all fazed at me taking their picture, no doubt they are used to it with a machine like that.

For those of you that don't look in over the weekend this is the last you will see of the Whitby area for a while, something different next week.

This is a real good one Brian. The bikes are good, and the people in the shot make it even better.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Frances.

They look pretty mean, Brian, but I guess you caught them at the celebration after their orgy of raping and pillaging.

[grin]
Brian Walbey: I don't think the guy in the wheelchair does much r.& p.these days Ray smile I did feel a bit conspicuous taking this though.
No doubt! Great candid shot!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.
Great looking blue bike in the middle Brian but i don't think that the red sidecar will last very far up the roadgrin....petersmile
Brian Walbey: No I don't think so either Peter. I suspect the man in the wheelchair was the rider of the big trike.

I don't know if the word bike is adequate for such a machine!
Brian Walbey: NO but it is a fine piece of kit isn't it.

Even I would have fun on the back seat of that magnificent machine, Brian. grin
Brian Walbey: Would you indeed Ginnie!! Seriously I bet it is good fun to have a ride on something like this.

Nah - its just a Reliant Robin with the panels taken off ;o)
Brian Walbey: The Trotters really would be top of the pile with one of these Mike, Peckham would never be the same again.
With a Porsche engine as well Brian, can't be bad.
Brian Walbey: I didn't get to see the engine Frank but these usually have something powerful in them.

A fascinating scene indeed Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chad.
that is no longer a bike, not is it a car
Brian Walbey: They call them trikes over here Chantal, one often sees them about, bit I think this is the biggest I have ever seen.

Can they ride these type of bikes with no helmet! I have seen these bikes before but not on this scale, you could practically live on it smile
Brian Walbey: Yes they don't need to have a helmet on Linda although personally I think I would.
I was going off the badge Brian, I could be wrong, (It has to happen one day! )
Brian Walbey: It happens to us all in the course of time Frank smile

Well, I don't think much of the motorbike for the guy on the left; it's front wheels look much too small! wink
Brian Walbey: But with 4 wheels it shouldn't tip over on bends Alan.
The Hells Angels Whitby chapter Brian, lucky for you that they were more intent on their ice-creams smile
Brian Walbey: I guess they would get used to pictures of such an unusual machine as that being taken John.
I always think that aging bikers look rather sad.
Brian Walbey: I just wonder if he ended up in the wheelchair because of a biking accident.
Good to see the bloke in the wheelchair is still getting about. That big one is a machine to be proud of. Nice shot Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet. I wondered if the guy in the wheelchair was like that because of a biking accident at some time.
I love the idea of an old "hell's angel" eating an ice cream
Brian Walbey: One is never too old to enjoy an ice cream Bill.

Great trikes, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Debb.
Love it! grin
Brian Walbey: I just wonder if the man in the wheelchair is the driver of this big trike.
