'Scene' Around Whitby 5/14

A series of odd bits and pieces I saw around Whitby in May.

It's BOAT FRIDAY so here is a little clutch of boats that caught my eye tied up at the side of the quay.

A mother guarding her brood Brian, strange things happen in Whitby.
Brian Walbey: That's how the image struck me when I took it Les.

Mother dinghy and her brood of dingettes...several of which have not fully mastered the skill of floating, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes it seems like that Ray. I suspect the water is rain water rather than a leaking boat.
Good find for Boat Friday Brian.... you have captures a lot of colour here.... this picture tells me that four fishermen slept in that daysmile....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter. By the look of those little dinghies I suspect the fishermen slept in for several dayssmile
I love the little boats! Nice range of colors and sizes!

Some of the little ones look a bit unloved Brian
Brian Walbey: I guess they are not used much Chris, I think that is rain water gathering in them.
A family of scruffy boatsgrin
Brian Walbey: Looks a bit like that Bill.

At least three of them seem to be leaking! The biggest boat looks like it may have an engine so I'll take that one, please.
Brian Walbey: LOl. So will I Alan. I think it is rain water that has gathered in the smaller boats.

I like how the little ones are huddled together between the wharf & the bigger boat. Cute image, Brian.

Super collection smile
Brian Walbey: Like a mother and children aren't they. Thanks for your comment.
Thinking of Boat Friday, I see Saga are offering a 'Titanic Cruise' to celebrate the 100th anniversary, I now see them in a new light, I nearly died laughing. Hope passengers count the boats and try for a deferred payment.
Brian Walbey: I can't really imagine anyone at all superstitious wanting to go on a cruise called that John.
