photoblog image 'Scene' Around Whitby 2/14

'Scene' Around Whitby 2/14

A series of odd bits and pieces I saw around Whitby in May.

This horrific set of munchers is in the window of a fishmongers shop.  I wouldn't want to get any parts of my anatomy caught up in those!!

Small gnashers but I bet they are pretty sharp Brian.
Brian Walbey: I don't think I'd even try and find out on a live specimen Chad.

We used to have a swordfish bill at home - I wonder what happened to that? Used to terrify me as a child.
Brian Walbey: Have you looked in your loft lately Mike, it would look very good over the mantelpiece.
He must have had a good dentist - not a cavity in sight.
Brian Walbey: I wish I could say the same Mary.
Makes for an artistic bit of window dressing though. Looks like some good fish there.
Brian Walbey: It certainly draws in the punters to look in the window.
Probably off a grouper or an angler fish - nicely spotted, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom, it was certainly a bit beats of some kind.
A fishmonger with a sense of humour. Looks like some nice fish on sale too
Brian Walbey: yes he obviously is Bill, it certainly attracted people to the window.
Aha the shark catcher from 'Jaws'? smile
Brian Walbey: Da do, da do, da do, you could hear him singing in the shop smile

Yes, a scary scene that would be. I stil; enjoy the film "Jaws". Who was King Scallops? A new one on me wink
Brian Walbey: I enjoyed "jaws" the first couple of times, now it gets shown so often it has lost its tension unfortunately. I've never tasted Scallops, I'm told they are nice.

Great composition Brian - love the way you have framed this. BTW something has gone wrong with the way your page is displayed on my computer - the picture and all the comments and writing have shrunk to a very small szie and I can hardly read the writing. No idea what is going on!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid. I have posted a query on the technical section of the forum with a copy of your comment and asked that they look in to it for us as all is o.k.on my own monitor,
I would imagine that he scares away quite a few customers with this window display Brian.... nice shot....petersmile
