Runswick Bay 4/5

Another one of the small lanes connecting the cottages and houses together.  When one walks about in Runswick Bay it almost feels as though you are walking through the privacy of peoples front gardens, and indeed rear gardens in some cases.  To move house or take deliveries from traders must be quite a major task, it is quite easy to get lost in this little labrynth of lanes.

A good way to stack excess rocks.
Brian Walbey: That's one way of looking at it rRy smile
How lovely and charming this place is! It feels so intimate!
Brian Walbey: Yes one is all the time walking through each others front or rear gardens to get about, I guess one would need to get on with ones neighbours!

Not much space for cars Brian.
Brian Walbey: There are separate car parks for the residents and visitors at the bottom of the very steep hill leading into this part of the village Chad.
Nice little place
Brian Walbey: It is a delightful little place Chantal.

I have a feeling that this may have been established long before cars were even considered. Difficult get much privacy there I would think.
Brian Walbey: I think you are right Alan. Not only a probable lack of privacy but in mid-summer this is a very popular place to visit. I guess one would need to be aware of that before moving to live in this part of the village anyway.
This really does look a delightful place Brian
Brian Walbey: It is indeed Bill, and the part of the village above this area above the beach is also very nice.

I'm enjoying this arm chair visit Brian. It is a very long time since we were there.

Brian Walbey: Yes there are some lovely little cottages in the vilage rs.
The classic seaside town smile
Brian Walbey: But no Bingo and Hot Dogs John, thankfully.
You do need to be fit to live here though Brian, a grand little village indeed.
Brian Walbey: Yes I reckon that Les. It is a lovely little village.

Yes you can imagine the groan by delivery men when the discover the new fridge freezer is for one of these!
Brian Walbey: Even worse if one is moving in or out Mike, I guess the delivery people might consider charging a premium for this place.
I wouldn't mind getting lost in the labyrinth of lanes at all, Brian. This village would be a delight to explore.
Brian Walbey: I'm sure you would enjoy your visit as much as we did ours Beverly.
