Beacon Hill Re-visited #1/4

Last year I posted a short series taken at Beacon HIll, a popular spot on a very high point in Charnwood Forest, just South of Loughborough.  This short series was taken recently when we took our lunch up there on a nice sunny day.

Taken from nearly at the top of the hill this is looking south over the Charnwood hills towards Bradgate Park.  The small tower almost in the centre of the horizon is a folly called Old John.

Brian Walbey: We'd had our lunch at this point Ginnie and were walking it off. If you ever pass our way we could take you two girls for a picnic at this lovely spot, I know you'd enjoy it.
