From The Odds Folder 2/9

Carillon Court - Looking Up

There is a small indoor shopping mall in Loughborough with quite a good selection of shops in it and looking up one day this group of objects caught my eye set against the somewhat troubled sky.

That little bell automatically chimes the hour, very apt for Loughborough which has one of the few bell foundaries left in the country.

Like this one a lot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray.
Very original and colourful, Brian. If you had been twelve minutes earlier, you may have captured the bell while it was chiming.
Brian Walbey: I might well have done Beverly but SC doesn't come with sound sadly smile
nice image and well composed, the flower pots add a dash of colour.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush.

These hanging baskets do well to cheer up these sorts of places Brian
Brian Walbey: Yes although this small arcade is not too bad Chris.

It certainly does look small from here Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes it is nothing like these big places in the cities.

Good to see quite a traditional shopping centre, Brian, rather than the chrome and glass places that seem so common these days. This looks a delight.
Brian Walbey: It is quite a small arcade Alan with small versions of a few of the leading stores including W.H.Smith and The Works, both with olenty of lovely books for me to browse whilst Maureen goes shopping.
How interesting Brian, I never knew there was still a bell foundary there. These are snashing hanging baskets
Brian Walbey: Thanks Stanley. You might find this interesting http://www.taylorbells.co.uk/

Good contrast between the dark sky and the bright flowers.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ingrid, that is what I liked about this shot.

This shopping arcade has pretty features, especially the clock smile
