photoblog image Twiddle Time Again 10/10

Twiddle Time Again 10/10

The Apple Tree.

To finish this series of twiddled images is this one of a small Apple tree in a greenhouse at the National Trust house at Calke Abbey, Derbyshire.

I have included a small copy of the original image so you can see what it should look like.  I think I used one of the Spiral type filters on CS3 as far as I can remember, but with this particular image I like the effect it has come up with.

Finger painting for grown-ups...what fun!
Brian Walbey: I never thought of it like that Ray.
It looks nice, but nothing like an apple tree grin
Brian Walbey: Thanks Marion.

A striking image Brian: almost Christmassy too
Brian Walbey: yes I guess it does have that sort of feel Chris.

LOL, nice processing, like it alot Brian... any PDF on this one?
Brian Walbey: No PDF Chantal, just one of CS3's standard filters.

Wahay, you've turned the twiddle knobs fully clockwise on this one Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes the final flourish on this series Chad.

Like looking through the bottom of a thick glass!
Brian Walbey: Yes or one of those paper weight things Ingrid.

Excellent
Brian Walbey: Thanks vintage.
It's cool the way it makes it look like glass. A bit of a looser swirl and it would certainly be similar to glass I used to buy in huge sheets.
Brian Walbey: Those paper weight things also look a bit like this Mary.
A wonderful effect Brian with lovely colours. I prefer the original image though. They look like delicious apples.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Laurette. The apples weren't for picking, this was at a stately home place.
Stirred and not shaken Brian smile
Brian Walbey: Yes indeed John.
Lovely colours Brian. This has worked very nicely
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, this is the one I mentioned to you the other day that is similar to your posting.
I can see that you are very skilled at this sort of thing Brian. I like your name of twiddling for it.
Brian Walbey: Just playing with a spiral filter on Photoshop Frank. "Twiddling" is the SC term for an image that has been messed about more than just simple editing, hence all my shots in this two week series are "twiddles."
Pretty good twiddle, that on, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.

Now these look like magic berries....great twiddle Brian....we have magic mushrooms in CA that they smoke-up....once they mix the berries into a paste do they dry it out and smoke em....that would be one big highgrin....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter, I think I'll pass on the mushrooms smile
Don't be silly Brian ... now come clean. We all know that this is the early stages of stirring up a mix of cherries and cream
Brian Walbey: Cherries and cream, that sounds very appetising. This was at Calke Abbey and we had a delicious cream tea just after I took this.

Almost looks like a sort of reflection you would get in a chrome hubcap, Brian. Good twiddle.
Brian Walbey: Yes I guess it does Alan, thanks.
You are just a big kid Brian tongue
Brian Walbey: But I start to grow up again on Monday Bill, twiddles over for the time being.
I think the same as anniedog, it does look like thick glass, good twiddle Brian smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Linda, it looks a bit like a paperweight.
I wouldn't have had a clue as to what it was if you hadn't provided the answer, Brian. Great fun!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Beverly.
always fun experimenting around a bit
Brian Walbey: Yes, I just wish I could remember how I done it.
