Twiddle Time Again 5/10

Moored Up.

One for BOAT FRIDAY for a change. Don't take this outrageous cranking up of the colours too seriously, this is a bit of fun, I wouldn't attempt to show it at my club or an exhibition for instance, well I probably wouldn't!

For this I have used Oloneo Photo Engine (Beta Edition) to process this image of a yacht moored up in the harbour at Porthmadog, North Wales.

This time I have boosted the colours a bit more and finished off with a small adjustment in Topaz as well.

Thanks for all the comments about the white internal border on Tuesday's posting, and to a certain extent Wednesday's, it was so much more of a discussion than just a "like it" or "don't like it" result which is surely part of what we are all about on SC., learning from each other as well as enjoying this great hobby of ours.

If we can't play around with Boat Friday, Brian, we are off to a less-than-good weekend. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Brian Walbey: Quite right Ginnie, sadly one or two have taken it a bit seriously.

A nice image Brian but a tad too bright for my eye
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, it looks good printed on to high gloss paper.
Interesting compo, with the mast snapped in half.

This one looks like an over tonemapped HDR to me.
Brian Walbey: It is over tonemapped Marion, I just wanted to have a bit of fun and produce something a bit outrageous for a change.

superbe ces reflets !
Brian Walbey: Thanks remia.
It has the look of some of the early slide film which produced some alarming colours!
Brian Walbey: It looks good printed out on high gloss paper Bill.

I like this very much
Brian Walbey: Thanks vintage.
A lovely image Brian i do like the bright colours in the photo a lot. Well done.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Laurette.
In cranking up the colours you have given Elizabeth Grace a very festive look, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed I probably have Beverly.

Outrageously cranked, and rather enjoyable for it, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray.
Lovely colourful contribution to boat Friday Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet.
And a very effective twiddle it is, too, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.
Good gracious me Brian, you have made this picture very bright but I like the strong reflection below
Brian Walbey: Just messing about for fun Stanley, thanks.

So it would not be to a judge's taste, then, Brian? They are a fickle lot! This one is best viewed wearing sun glasses, I think!
Brian Walbey: I might try it before a judge just for fun one day Alan.
I love the colours !!! Any bright colourful capture is always exciting and it draws your attention. In S.A. we have sunshine most of the time - so we love bright images.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elsabe.

Looks like one of those old very bright slides. All good fun and as you say, the SC community is always up for a good discussion. We have to accept that not everyone shares our aesthetic when it comes to photography (and other things in life as well!)
Brian Walbey: I agree Ingrid. I just hope people are wearing their dark glasses again on Monday!

Oloneo is quite an interesting programme Brian and you can get some different effects with it.

Somehow I missed your previous posts, Tuesday worked quite well I thought but not so keen on 1744's processing. Still you can;t win them all.smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Les. This style of presentation is not everyone tastes. I did enter another one in a competition and that judge quite liked the technique.
the colours work for me actually, i feel this has an oil painting-ish effect
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush.

My goodness that is bright - almost looks like stained glass. Have a good week-end Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike, have a good weekend yourself.
A great image Brian, & hear hear to your comments, photography should be fun & sometimes can be subject to a little snobbery, more power to your elbow my freind. Have a good weekend
Regards Tim.
Brian Walbey: Many thanks Tim.

You do good twiddle Brian...great shot, lighting and reflections....but you twiddled out the top half of the boatgringrin....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter. I didn't like the "clutter" behind the yacht, hence cutting the mast off.
